If you’re an NFL fan, you’re probably paying some kind of attention to the Draft. You probably know that there is miles worth of paperwork and terabytes of video on all the Draft prospects. No detail is missed when making picks line up with a teams needs. But sometimes, things just line up better in ways that can only be described on the same level as conspiracy.
First I’ll point out the obvious. As the 10th pick in the first round, the New York Giants chose Eli Apple. Pretty simple.
Now here’s were it gets pretty strange. Like maybe unicorn strange.
Eli Apple meet Eli Manning. Eli Manning is #10, Eli Apple is the 10th pick. New York is known as the Big Apple. Eli Apple wore #13 just like Odell Beckham Jr., who was also a 1st round pick by the New York Giants. [EDIT: Added] In 2007 and 2011, the NY Giants drafted a CB in the first round and won the Super Bowl both times.
